Not even chills defy natures beauty..

Hi,

I just had a gr8 weekend...gr8 friends...gr8 places. I have been to Virgina before also in July 2009 all lush green as if god had dropped a bucket of floral green on d place. This time went to same place crossing same roads with same milestones and same MPH boards but the thermometer had a complete dip of mercury since my last trip. Mercury towering over d current
point of 31F at 85F. But this wrath of weather as we see it did an HD makeup to the valleys, trees, roadside and beautiful snow clad houses with snow covered acres of land and poor fellows shovelling d snow to get past d 3feet approx snow.
The journey started itself with a wreck (JINX)...we missed d time line to pick up the rental car..oops there go our plans.....dis is wot everbody thought at that time. Still our car driver Yatharth managed a car in d nik of the time (10 pts for dis) . We were on the road by 9:30 with all bags stuffed in d rear end of d car. B/W d rear end and d front end our bunch of stupids had molded themselves to fit in some zigsaw puzzle style ( Akansha, Arpit and Pravin)

The GPS kept talking and we kept listening to various melodies. It was a beautiful evening in which Aku cud think of noting else but her growling stomach.

We checked into the hotel rooms and in mins we were dead on d beds.
Dawn of next day we were already hiting d accelerater to visit Gr8 falls cud u believe it was 8:30 wen we were in d park...even d strollers and their dogs were wondering wot these handful of seemingly stupids are doing in d park. The beauty of park, i had once witnessed lush green was now under a sheath of white sparkling snow. Once outside d temp controlled car we realized the snow was not just to see it effected the other sensory organs also....all our 30*5 teeth were shuttering. Then started d shutters of camera's.....no point was left unclicked as if we had some obligation towards the park. The Gr8 falls point one view looked breath takingly beautiful and such was the music of water falling from different heights of falls into water of different depths that one cud lose his sanity. It was so serene calm and soul touching.
Fingers were about to be frost bitten when v all had a consensus on movin towards Luray Cavern. Luray Caverns 34 stories down from ground 0 are east coast deppest and largest caverns. I kept warning everyone its gonna b too cold inside as as we decended i already had my foot in my mouth. The temp was so soothing i guess 25C. In the background of all d natural beauty some gods grave mistakes were busy doing --> Akansha- Posing on every second step or incase anyone else was being clicked she wud just jump in(wrath was borne maximum by Pravin).----> Yatharth- is from testing he cudnt stop testing his SLR and prasing( am not sure just his camera but i guess more than that his click angles). Arpit---> as he is from Life-70 bakar team he cud not stop from dropping PJ's and ... well not be posted on publically but we know it :) wot he was doing some pre-valentine works. Pravin---> was being analytical and using his policy "Ignorance is the best policy"(always ignoring us), dont think he just uses he brains too much only he puts quite a pressure on kidneys also. Deepika---> thats me .....wot are u thinking...common i was observing dm does all the above stuff penned down above come out of thin air naaahh!! it needs acute observation :) man.
Well to tell u the truth i was njoying d same old place with a new company and it was really gr8.
Finally we came out of d depts of the earth prasing and contradicting the authenticity of the caves. Munching the snacks without giving a small thought abut the kinda calories that we were gorging on ..atleast aku and me need to not ignore the cals....

By this time we were dead tired to go to any place else.... decided on goin back to hotel again and the worst was yet to come. We were delivering high standard PJ's nonstop. Yatharth had one eyes on road but his ears in Pravin's lap so he ignored wen poor cheated GPS aunty kept screaming turn to left or right ( i dont remember dat means my ears were in aku's lap).
So we burnt a nice amount of Gas to find way back to hotel. Once in hotel a killing plan came up. Let's go to Washinton DC at nite.....awwww....i was feeling dead tired. Pravin was onto laptop searching places to visit in DC in late hrs and kept repeating "Brisk walk" "Brisk Walk" which we didnt do niether in day nor in nite. Finally we dragged ours out of d beds on to cars seat.
I doozed off to sleep for 10-15 mins and cud hear Pravin with manual guidance and Yatharth with GPS guidance fighting over how to reach ... "WASHINGTON MONUMENT". While the car kept rolling from street to street Pravin tried to keep our spirits high by showing us d Washington Monument from each and every angel. And for a change not a single pic was cliked oh i had a flash back Y*(his name is too long) did clik one of Capitol hill.

Our digestive system seems to be too good....we feel hungry in mins....Aku wanted to have d italian cuisine...we started looking for all sorts of food joints . Even at this stage Arpit cudnt help serving us with a PJ- Yatharth was looking for Subway food joint and GPS aunty said "U have reached you destination" ...Arpit commented..."Are kahi ye humae metro wale subway to nahi lae ja raha".... Finally we got some pizza and Pravin got some forbidden fruit. Next day was 14th Feb so some people were calling and some were hitting( does ny one want to guess Khe Khe Khe).
Back at hotel Aku ate all d pizza slices .... :(.....and look i can see

some a bottle of juice also. Poor weeee ...Just a joke she only had four not all of dm....Aku will u beat me up for dis....she is a sweet heart she loves me a lot and i love her a lot as you carry on dragging d blog down u will get to witness d proof also.

Can u hear some snoring!!!! ..yeaahh next we were asleep.

Alarm buzzed at 6:00 did it??? but who was goin to get up....i opened my eyes and it was 7:30 AM.....u might be thinking wots with you guys do u have an xam....it was worse....

We had to go to Washington DC with Guide Pravin Babu showing us Washington monument from every angle again. Once in Washington DC , the parking drama starts....we cant get a parking as most of the roadside parkings were covered with snow and rest were already occupied. Finally with some tussle we got one.....as Pravin wud say "Gotcha". As the Valentine spirit had started no one cud stop teasing anyone was it inside the group or outside and the worst hit by Valentine Tsunami were ARPIT, PRAVIN and AKANKSHA.....it was just a joke as all were missing their actual Valentine's calling them amidst of all the fun and frolic.

On our foot to Capitol Hill can you believe me if i tell you that even when we were on foot Yatharth was trying to use GPS aunty to guide us to Capitol Hill and Pravin Babu was already tearing the roadmap. Me Arpit and Aku were njoying the neat Roman architecture and Aku was jotting down the places were she wanted her to be clicked..oo gawd she is obsessed. Finally we reached Capitol Hill ..it is a beauty. It looked as marvelous as it looked in night.

Here come the cameras out of there cases ready to work on giving good pics - i wish camera cud shout loud at us.."If you want a good pic...get a good face". But still dear SLR managed to get awesome pics some of the best ones of the trip --
Upon acute analysis we came to a solid conclusion y this pic is the best because its missing --> Pravin and not to say me being in d pic obviously enhances the beauty :D. Akanksha got a little emotional ...Aku its Capitol hill not Taj mahal babe....So she showed her love towards me (why meee :\ gulp gulp)
Hey we missed someone in the pic here--> Pravin Babu dont u dare doubt we did not click his pics or he didnt get them clicked just we struggled to get his "Say Cheeze" pic here it is
Most of the times Yatharth was cliking our pics as he knew his wont come out good so some of the chinki's got it wrong they thought he was our Hired Camera man ( khe khe khe..joke) so they askd him to click their pics...Yatharth tell us the truth did they TIP you.. :).

We moved on to Air and Space Museum. It was a good xperience to have look at the legacy
of flying evolution. I would defintly want to go back to Dc only for Air and Space Museum.
Out of that place we had another look at Wasington Monument and first time it was clicked by us. Out of Washington on to the roads to Baltimore with not too much of excitment as we were too tired.

We reached Baltimore with some low energy levels, but the Baltimore air had some really energy boosters in there. We were rejuvenated....bought the tickets to the aquarium. Entry to the Aquarium was beautiful some kind of tropical forest look...birds chirping...it was cute and refreshing. All the Fauna seemed rite out of biology books and they had all the colors of "Ariel the Mermaid".

The Sea Urchins has fantastic colors, the Sea horses were amzingly cute, some examples of Adaptation, camoflauge..it was so close to nature. As the God of Food- Zeus is meherban on us we felt hungry and went to have some fries and coffee. I just mentioned dis to remind my folks of a joke "Oh my Gawd" ...has got several meaning...i hope all got it...at least the ones who were part of joke effected got it rite....

One of main reason to go to aquarium was to see a Dolphin show my childhood dream. I had dis strange notion in my mind since childhood...that dolphins are yellow in color...stupid me. We took the seats in Splash zone of Dolphin show. Came out the dolphins and they seemed as if they were smiling to everyone , welcoming all of us. Beautiful xperience, we were enchanted., clapping ....i dont have words to explain our feelings..they really touched our hearts. Hey we were kids again...

With dis beautiful experience of the evening and best end of the

Valentine's day we headed back to our place in Jersey our hearts full of joy...bodies aching but heart had a fresh breeze of O2 going thru it. My heart was saying a quote from PG Wodehouse "Flowers are happy things".

Keeping aside the light moments of the trip. It was really the best fun trip i ever had while being onsite. Kudos to the gang of five....and thanks to all for being so cooperative and funny.

Love

Deepika
